I always thought it would have been nice to know Dongo but now that I've read this a really wish I'd been able to meet him! He sounds like such a great dog! I hope you'll agree to get another one some day!

It really is true that as time passed, I grew to really like Dongo. I thought it was hilarious the way he slept and I have many fond memories of him running crazily in the yard. I loved straddling and riding him like a horse in the kitchen before we ate lunch or dinner, he was so big! My favorite Dongo memory was when the Bills played the Patriots and I told Dave that if we somehow came back and scored a touchdown to Ben "Winter" Coates on the last play of the game, then I would jump out onto the lawn, which was freezing ice cold in the winter. Of course, Drew Bledsoe threw it in the back of the endzone, Ben Coates caught it and all of a sudden Dave and I opened up the door of his house, fully sprinted and leapt onto the lawn over and over again in joy ........ Dongo had no idea what we were doing and was barking and running around us wildly .... but then again maybe he was celebrating too! Feeling this way is kind of strange for me since I am not a dog or animal person but I guess that Dongo was special to me, one great part of a great family.
